A model call should make it easy to answer three questions: What is the shoot? Am I a fit? What do I send? Use the template below and adapt it to the project.
Copy-ready model call
MODEL CALL — [Project name] We are creating: [Short concept] Looking for: [Number/type of models] Location: [City / exact area if appropriate] Date: [Date] Hours: [Approximate call and wrap] Compensation: [Rate / TFP / expenses] Usage: [Editorial / social / website / paid ads etc.] Wardrobe/HMU: [Provided / bring options / details] To apply, send: • Name and location • Current photos / portfolio • Instagram or website (optional) • Relevant measurements only if needed • Confirmation of availability Deadline: [Date] Apply: [Project link]
For TFP calls
State that the collaboration is TFP and explain what participants receive: number of edited images, expected delivery timeline and permitted portfolio/social usage. Clarity is what makes an unpaid collaboration feel professional rather than vague.
For commercial calls
Include the rate and usage. If the final content will be used in paid advertising, e-commerce, packaging or for a long licensing period, say so before people apply.
Keep the search distributed. Keep the project together.
Share your call wherever the right people already are, then send everyone to one project page for the current brief, roles and application flow.
